About Dock0
Why Dock0 exists
Ten thousand MCP servers exist right now. Tools that let AI assistants search databases, generate images, query APIs, control smart homes, analyze code. Thousands of developers built them.
Almost none of them get paid.
Not because the tools aren’t good. Not because people don’t use them. But because there was no clean way to say: “This tool costs a penny per call. Pay it, and it works.”
The protocol that connects AI to the world is live. The economy that sustains it needed better rails.
We built it.
What Dock0 does
You have an MCP server. Paste the URL. Set a price. In sixty seconds, you have a paid endpoint with API keys, rate limiting, and prepaid call-balance billing that actually works at microtransaction scale.
Or push from GitHub. We build it, host it, and run it. Creator includes 1 Dock0-hosted service and Pro includes 5 during MVP launch.
Your users add prepaid call balance once. Every successful call deducts your price. No per-call credit card fees. No invoices to chase. Just: build a tool, set a price, earn money.
Free external services use a 10% Dock0 fee. Creator and Pro lower that to 5%. Processor fees are tracked separately and currently absorbed at launch.
Why this matters
The MCP ecosystem is at an inflection point. AI assistants are becoming the interface layer for everything — and MCP is the protocol that connects them to the real world. But ecosystems stall when the builders cannot sustain the work.
Open source is beautiful. Free tools are generous. But “generous and free” is not a business model, and business models are what turn weekend projects into reliable infrastructure that thousands of people depend on.
We believe the best MCP servers will be built by developers who can sustain the work. Not VC-funded companies. Not big tech side projects. Individual developers and small teams who build great tools and deserve to get paid for them.
Dock0 is the layer that makes that possible.
How the money works
Traditional payment rails break at small amounts. A direct card charge per call makes a $0.01 tool invocation economically absurd.
We solved this with a prepaid call-balance model:
- A consumer tops up once — currently from $25 upward
- Each MCP call deducts the tool’s price from prepaid call balance
- One Stripe charge. Thousands of calls. No per-call fees.
This means true micropayments work. A developer can price their tool at $0.001 per call and actually collect revenue at scale. Buyers do not need to re-enter card details on every successful call, and creators can choose between external monetization and Dock0-hosted runtime.
The math finally works for everyone.
The team
Dock0 is built by Cynsta Technologies, a small software company in Prague, Czech Republic.
We’re developers who build for developers. We’ve watched the MCP ecosystem explode with creativity and simultaneously struggle with the most basic question: how do you make money from this?
We didn’t wait for someone else to answer it.
Prague has always punched above its weight in tech. We’re continuing that tradition — building global infrastructure from the heart of Europe.
What we believe
Developers should own their economics. You set the price. You see every transaction. You control what’s public and what’s private. No opaque algorithms deciding your revenue.
Simplicity is a feature. Paste a URL, set a price, get paid. If it takes more than sixty seconds, we failed.
Micropayments should actually work. The prepaid call-balance model is the right architecture for an AI-native economy where tools cost fractions of a cent per use.
The AI tool economy should be decentralized. Not five companies running all the MCP servers. Thousands of independent developers, each earning from what they build.
Where this goes
Today, Dock0 handles the basics: launch externally, host when needed, price, and earn. Tomorrow, we’re building the infrastructure for an entire economy of AI tools.
Agent spending controls. Usage-based discovery. One-click integrations with every AI client. A marketplace where the best tools surface because they’re good — not because they’re free.
The protocol is here. The builders are here. Now there’s an economy.
Deploy. Price. Earn.
